Summary, etc. | This research investigated the “Impact of Patient-Provider Communication on the Quality of<br/>Healthcare Services Delivery and Patient Satisfaction” at Centre Chirurgie Orthopédique Et<br/>Pédiatrique in Sainte Marie de Rilima, Rwanda. The study employed a correlational study design,<br/>the study aimed to explore the relationship between patient-provider communication, healthcare<br/>service quality, and patient satisfaction. A stratified random sampling for patients and convenience<br/>sampling for healthcare providers has been employed. The total number of participants was 80 and<br/>all have signed the consent form as were desired and designed before the beginning of the survey.<br/>The study employed data collected through structured surveys, interviews for focus groups,<br/>analyzed data using statistical methods.<br/>The study reveals communication gaps at Centre Orthopédique Pédiatrique Et Rehabilitation in<br/>Rwanda, causing limited patient understanding, reduced treatment adherence, and delayed access<br/>to services. These issues strain healthcare resources, leading to suboptimal health outcomes and<br/>increased costs. The study recommends a multifaceted intervention strategy, including the<br/>integration of Health Information Technology (HIT), patient-centered collaboration (PACs), and<br/>regular assessments to improve communication, patient understanding, treatment adherence, and<br/>overall satisfaction. The findings aim to contribute to the understanding of communication<br/>dynamics in healthcare, offering insights for enhancing services quality and patient satisfaction in<br/>Rwanda’s unique sociocultural context. |
